Uncanny X Force #26 includes almost evreything I love about this series. It has interesting ideas, fully featured characters with intertwining relationships, and Deadpool used to perfection.

In this issue X-Force (Now only consisting of Wolverine, Deadpool, and Age of Apocalypse Nightcrawler) Try to escape from the Omega Clan, the new villains currently torturing them. We also see two stories about Fantomex and Psylocke, the recently departed members. What Rick Remender is doing here is showing us a story that illustrates the idea that these characters are a true family. Everyone knows that no matter how hard you try you can’t truly quit family. X-Force has become a family, they are tied together wether they like it or not. While this issue is mostly used to get the distance the characters from each other, we still get the classic traits of this book, which means Deadpool. I am a life long fan of Deadpool and in my opinion no one is writing him half as good as Rick Remender. What makes Deadpool perfect is that he  isn’t used purely for comedy, he has real value as part of the team. That is illustarted perfectly in this book, as Deadpool comes to the rescue of his teammates while still keeping in touch with his original zany style. Overall, if you enjoy an X-Men book with style, character, and humor, then do not miss this book. Also as an extra to some people, there is no Avengers vs X-Men tie-in to bog it down.
